How do I save on fuel if you are increasing the power of the vehicle?
People immediately assume that increasing the power of a vehicle has a negative impact on fuel consumption, whilst petrol vehicles this may well be the case as they are remapped purely for performance reasons, turbo diesel vehicles are different. With a turbo diesel vehicle there is a much higher increase in torque that what can be acheived in a petrol vehicle, and due to this bigger increase in torque, the vehicle does not have to be pushed as hard to maintain the same level of speed, same level of load or to achieve the same level of performance when climbing a hill for example. In conjunction with this, it also allows you to use higher gears at a lower RPM, combining both of these factors has a positive impact on fuel consumption.
Will remapping my vehicle have any additional wear to my vehcile?
Simple answer...No. When we remap your vehcile, it is done with inside knowledge of component specifications. Unlike other tuning companies we do not push the vehicle beyond it's specification, and we never push the vehicle right up to the limit, we stay within a desired specification to prevent additional wear on the engine or other components.
Will remapping my vehicle affect my MOT/DOE test?
Remapping your vehicle will have no effect on your MOT test whatsoever, there is no increase in soot output or exhaust gases.
Will remapping my vehicle change my Maintenance options or cycles?
Because we do not remap vehicles beyond their specification there is no need to change maintenance cycles or frequency and there is no requirement to change any components used in maintenance cycles.
